As part of Crafting Futures' aims to support the future of craft through shared learning and collaboration, the British Council has launched an East Asia Advisory Group. By building a greater global network, we hope to create more opportunities for exchange.
Through an open call process, a group of 6 advisers were chosen from across the ASEAN region, representing diverse areas of expertise, including craft, fashion, social enterprise, research, community leadership, women's empowerment and sustainability. The group advises the Crafting Futures programme in East Asia and influences how the British Council's vision and strategy for the programme are developed.
The Advisory Group is intended to provide the programme with a diverse reprsentation of the sector from beyond the immediate project partners and given an additional voice to our planning processes. As advocates for the programme, the Advisory Group help us to identify new opportunities and trends related to the craft sector and provide professional advice within their areas of expertise.
