The Craft Toolkit is part of the British Council’s Crafting Futures programme. Whether you’re a craft maker, artisan, designer or someone who works with them, Craft Toolkit, available in 12 languages, can help you to plan for the future and grow your business.
Developed for craft makers, by craft makers. The Craft Toolkit is designed to take users through a series of online learning modules including goal setting, planning, selling and marketing, managing money and sustainability. The Craft Toolkit can be used by anyone, anywhere and is compatible with tablets and mobile devices. Craft Toolkit is currently available in Azerbaijani, English, Indonesian, Malaysian, Spanish and Thai with new languages added in early 2022 including Armenian, Arabic, Dari, Hindi, Nepali and Pashto.
Craft Toolkit was developed with funding from the British Council by Carol Sinclair at Applied Arts Scotland. The technical development was undertaken by Agency of None and the translation by Translators Without Borders. The content for the Sustainability Module was developed with funding from Pentland Brands by Kirstin Samuel M.A. MDev of Mumo & Community CIC with contributions from; Dr Inge Paneels of Napier University, Dr Sam Vettese of Napier University and Lynn Wilson M.A. MRes of Circular Design Scotland.
