In 2013, IFS expanded to include exhibitions from 27 countries. Over 70 international designers visited London during London Fashion Week giving them the opportunity to meet and discuss their work both with each other and with a London audience.
Estonia was awarded the Emerging Talent Award for their immersive installation The Estonian Ministry of Creative Affairs- a fictitious establishment conceived and designed by Helen Sirp showcasing the work of four of the ministry's 'creative ambassadors'. The 2013 award was designed by jeweller Dominic Jones.
Chaired for a second year by British Fashion Council’s Ambassador for Emerging Talent, Sarah Mower MBE, the judging panel included: Anna Orsini (British Fashion Council), Julian Roberts (British Council), Tamsin Blanchard (The Telegraph), Oriole Cullen (Victoria and Albert Museum), Hywel Davies (Central Saint Martins), Maria Lemos (RainbowWave), Mandi Lennard (Mandi’s Basement) and Tristan Webber (Royal College of Art).
