Maker Library Network Drop-in African Masks Workshop at Vitra Design Museum Gallery | Saturday 4 July 2015, 12:00-17:00

If you find yourself on the Vitra Campus this Saturday then pop into the Maker Library Network exhibition at Vitra Design Museum Gallery for an afternoon of crafting your very own African-themed mask with Lyall Sprong - one of the two Maker Librarians from the South African designer-maker consultancy Thingking.

Thingking developed a simple process to create masks from paper in three easy steps. Participants will cut, print and fold their own mask, and have the opportunity to chat to Lyall about his work, wider maker culture and the Maker Library Network. The workshop is designed to remind people of the joy of making by acting out a series of processes that enable the transformation of simple materials into a beautiful and fun object to take away with them.

The workshop will be held in English and German, is open to all ages and free or charge. No registration is necessary, just come by!
