Fashion Scandinavia Movement represented Denmark, Norway and Sweden in the International Fashion Showcase as part of a wider exhibition and showroom at London Fashion Week which placed emerging designers from these regions alongside the wider wave of Scandinavian fashion designers who have arrived on the world scene.
Curated by Dorothea Gundtoft, the author of Fashion Scandinavia: Contemporary Cool, the IFS exhibition heralded the arrival of twelve exciting designers showing the shifting themes and conversations across their work, and of course a healthy dose of that signature Scandinavian style.
In this film Zandra Rhodes, curator Dorothea Gundtoft, Linn Persson from Rodebjer and Scandinavian fashion designers Trine Hav Christensen and Veronica B. Vallenes talk about what they think makes Scandinavian fashion unique.
