Vanessa Schindler
Vanessa Schindler’s experiments with urethane – a versatile synthetic material simultaneously evocative of latex, plastic and silicone – create an illusion of fluidity in a collection inspired by the interiors of Bruce Goff’s Bavinger House: an organic, mid-century architectural masterpiece of fountains, ponds and plush carpeting. The result, ‘Urethane Pool, Chapter 2’, is an excitingly radical approach to textiles and textures, all achieved by hand in Schindler’s own Swiss workshop.
Vanessa Schindler is showing as part of the International Fashion Showcase 2017, to find out more, click here.
