Between 19 September 2017 and 18 January 2018 the 7th Moscow International Biennale of Contemporary Art will takes place, presenting work by artists, designers and archtiects from around the world.
Moscow Biennale is one of the most important international visual arts events in Russia. This year, the biennale's main project, entitled 'Clouds⇄Forests' will take place in the New Tretyakov Gallery and will be curated by Yuko Hasegawa, Artistic Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo and Professor of Tokyo University of the Arts. The biennale will be accompanied by a series of special events, including meetings with artists, lectures, and discussions.
The British Council has collaborated with the Biennale to present an educational programme as part of the UK-Russia Year of science and education, which will include a series of meetings and discussions with UK artists Joey Holder and the duet Revital Cohen & Tuur van Balen. ADF has collaborated with the Biennale through one of our Biennales and Festivals grants to present work by Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg and Forensic Architecture.
