After finishing his degree in Sevilla, Leandro Cano established his status as a designer in 2012, showing his first collection, ‘Buffet’ at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid. The collection won the ‘Designer For Tomorrow’ award and was subsequently shown at the final of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin. The prize was to create a new collection supported by Marc Jacobs and his team, resulting in his ‘ANIMA’ collection, showcased at IFS 2015. The brand relies on precision-engineered knitwear and leather and innovative tailoring techniques.
