British Council Korea presents Design Thinking film

4 July 2012
by Pete Collard

Following the recent exchange project between students of the RCA/Imperial College Innovation Design Engineering course and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in Daejeon for GoGlobal 2012: Seoul Social City Software, British Council Korea has made a short film exploring some of the themes the project raised.

What do you think 'design' is? Is it creating something new? Is it making products beautiful to provoke customers' appetite to spend?

The realm of design has been far more wider in past 20 years. It used to focus more on develop look and functionality of object but now design can be adopted to service, process, policy or even a way of thinking not only objects.

We can take society through design thinking or design skills. It can move society forward and make the better future.
