After a surprisingly smooth installation, Everything Forever Now all was calm on Wednesday as everyone readied for the opening at Thailand Creative and Design Centre (TCDC)

The amazing flower displays arrived and were installed like a gate entrance to the exhibition for the official ribbon cutting.

In the afternoon 30-40 press and media representatives arrived for a briefing and tour of the exhibition.  Henrietta and co-curator Nuttinee gave a comprehensive tour of all the individual projects. There was lots of the interest in the individual projects from the high-tech nylon airbike to the low-tech plastic bottle project jewellery and it was clear that many found the work offered a different and surprising take on sustainability.

The press tour had barely finished when it was time for the official opening. Mr Apisit Laistrooglai, Managing Director of TCDC welcomed everyone and the opening was presided over by Mr. Kittirat Na Ranong, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand who was joined by British Ambassador Asif Ahmad in officially opening the show.

The initial response from visitors was great with people showing real interest in the various projects and now we’re busy organising a programme including a workshop and symposium on the 5 March which we’ll be live-streaming online for people to allow people who are not in Bangkok to join in. More details to follow here soon.
