Liselore Frowijn
Liselore Frowijn explores historic Dutch-Japanese trade in a collection inspired by the Delft Blue tiles of a 17th century Amsterdam canal house. The result of a summer-long crafts exchange to the Japanese island of Kyūshū, where Frowijn connected with local artisans in indigo-workshops, ‘SAGOI’ combines the traditional indigo techniques that influenced the Netherlands’ renowned Delftware four centuries ago with abstracted pastoral scenes and Shunga-inspired nudes in a playful, sensual reunion of cultures.
Liselore Frowijn is showing as part of the International Fashion Showcase 2017, to find out more, click here.
