Lekat
Amanda Indah Lestari has just one mission for her thriving, Jakarta-based label, Lekat: to produce thought-provoking, sustainable fashion. She accomplishes her goal through championing traditional textiles woven by women of the Baduy community – a protected indigenous group living in western Banten province, Indonesia. Mixing-and-matching the colourful, geometric weaves into an experimental series of chic silhouettes, has helped Lekat create an enduring collection with a simultaneously pre- and post-modern aesthetic.
Lekat is showing as part of the International Fashion Showcase 2017, to find out more, click here.
