Fashion Now: Estonia

Estonia presents four emerging design talents: Kärt Põldmann – footwear, Jo Nurm – outerwear and womenswear, Scheckmann – footwear and Marit Ilison – womenswear. Through contemporary fashion a dialogue between past and future, dreams and subconscious is explored while the mystical Nordic spirit of ‘kaamos’, or the feeling of cocooning oneself from the coldness of winter, runs throughout the collections. With the ‘kaamos’ theme the viewer is taken into the dark period during autumn and winter – the pitch-black and quiet time for observation, self-reflection, melancholy and silence.
