Together with the British Council and British Fashion Council (BFC), Mercedes-Benz is pleased to present the work of emerging fashion designers from more than 26 countries for the International Fashion Showcase 2017 at the iconic Somerset House. The exhibition will be the sixth edition of the annual showcase and is the first time it will be supported and presented by Mercedes-Benz.
In a dedicated space, Mercedes-Benz will showcase five emerging designers, Anna K from the Ukraine, Angel Chen from China, David Ferreira from Portugal, Steven Tai from Canada and William Fan from Germany, who are supported through its International Designer Exchange Program (IDEP) across the globe.
As part of its ongoing global fashion commitment, Mercedes-Benz continues to support, nurture and mentor talented young and emerging design talent through the IDEP, which offers up-and-coming designers a unique opportunity to present their
collections outside of their local markets to an international audience. Launched in 2009, the program is currently active across Mercedes-Benz’ supported fashion platforms and is often supported by an award program initiated by Mercedes-Benz and underpinned by a panel of experts.
For more than 20 years, Mercedes-Benz has established itself globally as a key player and partner at selected international fashion events and is currently involved in more than 50 fashion platforms including Fashion Weeks in Beijing, Milan, London, Sydney and Berlin amongst others.
