Crafting Futures Thailand seeks to strengthen the crafts sector as important part of the creative industries in Thailand by providing creative skills and professional opportunities for women in the crafts sector and supporting revitalization of their cultural assets through collaborative activities and partnerships within Southeast Asia and in relation to the UK.

Working with Fai Gaem Mai (Chiang Mai University) and Manchester School of Art in the North of Thailand and Oxfam and Wanita in the South of Thailand, the projects focus on knowledge transfer and management, research and development of sustainable and safe approaches, designer-artisan collaborations, business development and heritage and craft education for youth through residencies, learning kits and train-the-trainer workshops. Partnering with Wallpaper* Thailand will help to generate greater access to and visibility for the outputs of the projects.
