18 February 2019
by Kendall Robbins

The British Council is seeking dynamic and experienced UK-based organisations to join our Crafting Futures Partner Network, including those with backgrounds in craft, design, social enterprise, digital and technology, cultural management and education. Partners joining the network would be given opportunities to work on Crafting Futures projects globally and would join the existing Partners in shaping the programme.

Activity is currently taking place in Chile, India, Malaysia, Mexico, Myanmar and Thailand, and has previously taken place in China, Morocco and Vietnam.  All projects are delivered in collaboration with a UK partner, who is chosen through an invitation to tender.

New projects will begin from April 2019 and continue until 2022 in Afghanistan, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, China, Georgia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Peru, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Uzbekistan with the possibility to expand into further countries.

Partner Network Opportunity

Through the Partner Network, we hope to ensure the programme is informed by UK sector needs, interests and strengths and that there is transparency within the industry about how and why it is organised.

In the spirit of the programme aims, we hope to use the Partner Network to promote a culture of collaboration and exchange within our UK partners, working together towards a mutual interest in the future of craft.
