10 April 2018
Department for International Trade (DIT) is looking for an innovative, award-winning design concept for the UK’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Apply by 30 April.
The Expo 2020 theme will be ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the future’ with an expected footfall of 25 million visitors from around the world.
The UK’s participation will consist of a self-build pavilion, supported by an accompanying programme of business and cultural events all related to the theme: Global Britain – Innovating for a Shared Future.
The Department for International Trade (DIT) wishes to appoint a design team to design the UK's Pavilion for Expo 2020:
"We are seeking a dedicated, inventive, multi-disciplinary creative team that will enable us to interpret the UK's contribution to the theme, in a way which creates the most original, inspiring and memorable visitor experience possible. We are looking for a holistic concept that unites the structure with the content.
We have a strong tradition of multiple award-winning Pavilions which have helped forge the international reputations of their creators - from Thomas Heatherwick's Seed Cathedral at Shanghai 2010, Wolfgang Buttress's 'Hive' at Milan 2015 to Asif Khan's 'Yurt' in Astana. This competition offers you the chance to follow those who have gone before with another inspirational triumph."
