Join us in Milan on Wednesday 7th September, as a panel of prominent designers and industry experts meet at BASE to discuss Invention in Design as part of the XXI Triennale di Milano.
An afternoon of talks and discussion chaired by Marco Sammicheli, academic, journalist and curator at Abitare, will explore the catalysts for invention in design in the UK and Italy, with a special focus on cross-disciplinary collaboration, risk-taking and research. Through the discussion the audience will discover what it takes to produce truly innovative work, the design and policy landscapes in Italy and the UK, as well as the impacts of design innovation and how government and other institutions can support its creation. Supported by the UKTI Italy, the event aims to foster debate and longer term exchange between designers and cultural organisations in the UK and Italy.
Venue: BASE Milano
Talks:15.00 - 18.00
Drinks reception:18.00 - 20.00
Entrance is free, but RSVP necessary: firstname.lastname@example.org
