The Maker Library at Stranger in Lagos, Nigeria launched yesterday with an evening of celebrations in the newly created space at Stranger.
People gathered to browse the books on display and listen to the ambitions for the programme from Maker Librarian Yegwa Ukpo and Ojoma Ochai, Director Arts for the British Council Nigeria.
Visitors also had the opportunity for some hands on making through participating in a screenprinting workshop. Artist Osione Itegboje guided participants in the process of designing a unique motif and screenprinting it onto shopping bags to take away.
Stranger will host a packed programme of Maker Library events until October 2016 - events for June listed below. Find out more about the focus of the programme on Stanger's profile page and detailed listings on Stranger's monthly calender.
