On Friday 1st April, 6-9pm, East London Printmakers launch their new Maker Library with an evening of demos and a showcase of members work.
East London Printmakers has invited its members to participate in a public exhibition of original books and prints to launch ELP as a new addition to the British Council’s growing Maker Library Network, a project established to connect artists, designers and makers around the world, enabling the sharing of knowledge and skills, and encouraging collaborations.
The evening will also include drop-in bookbinding workshops and printmaking demonstrations from members. Those taking part in the exhibiton will donate copies of their books, instigating a new ELP Maker Library Archive of works and projects. Artists’ submissions added to this archive will form the foundation to build a collection of artworks and resources for sharing and promotion, documenting ELP’s involvement with the Maker Library Network.
Please stop by, make a book and support the project!
