Looking to experiment with art beyond the canvas, Cairo based artist and painter Nour Omar started hand painting on Converse shoes, in late 2013 she moved on to hand painted bags, beach bags and clutches, under the Marsumä Designs brand. Her collections are limited and exclusive and cannot be mass-produced. Omar’s fine arts background is what inspires her work, and especially her whole take on design. She always seeks to create an art piece that is at the same time fashionable and functional, still using her tools-of-the trade brushes, paint and canvas then transforming the work into a trendy bag for the modern woman.

Marsumä Designs is showing as part of the International Fashion Showcase 2017, to find out more, click here.
