Alexander Ayala’s brand is based on deconstructivism of fashion, where a focus on clean lines characterises the fragmentation of each piece, and the use of non-lineal processes highlights an interest in the manipulation of ideas, away from the traditional luxury. This concept claims fashion as a way of art and not as a commercial concept.

In 2012, Alexander Ayala’s first collection "Miercoles de Ceniza" (Wednesday Ash) was launched.  This collection was inspired by religious syncretism in Guatemala during catholic rituals, reflecting the colour of the ashes and the smoke of incense. It emulates Alexander’s vision of future, to rebuild sartorial, the use of textures and a personal belief that clothes are unisex.
