Adilia Aleman envisions a modernity rooted within her ethnic and cultural identity through the use of hand-embellishments. Specially commissioned, the piece on display in Next in Line merges Thomas More’s references to clothing in Utopia with a contemporary re-imagining of Nicaragua today.
