Graduated from the State Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design in 2009, Yulia Yefimtchuk works and lives in Ukraine. She draws her inspiration and reflection from her country’s history, focusing on propaganda posters that highlight a certain image of woman. She denounces just as much the capitalist commercialization of femininity as the absurd indoctrination of communism, in essence turning the female body into an instrument.
