Would you like to take part in one of India’s most innovative cross-arts festivals and play a key role in a working group challenged with a theme-based project?
We’re looking for UK-based creative practitioners to participate in the UnBox 2013 Fellowships in Delhi, India over a five week period from Jan – Feb 2013. If you'd like to apply you can download the application form here.
The selected participants will take part in a 3-4 week fellowship residency prior to the Festival, working on a theme-based team challenge at one of five host organisations (one fellow per host - see fellowship options below). The teams will then present their fellowship outcomes and ideas at the UnBox Conference which takes place as part of the Festival (6-10 February 2013).
The UnBox festival aims to further the practice of innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration through keynotes, discussions and workshops anchored by leading and emerging practitioners. It celebrates interdisciplinary processes and experiences that shape contemporary thought and action across a range of domains - Development, Design, Business, Identity, Reform, Culture & Technology -through immersive and multi-sensorial formats. Several exciting events, including performances, exhibitions and installations, will be organized alongside the UnBox Conference.
Fellowship options
The fellowships combine all that UnBox is anchored around: interdisciplinary practice, honest and intimate experiences, and the chance to try something 'hands on'. We’re looking to bring a fresh set of interdisciplinary innovations to the Festival with the help of five carefully selected teams - each working on one fellowship scenario.
**All successful applicants must be present for the placement and the festival.**

On the final day of the Festival, teams will have the opportunity to bid for research focussed ‘booster funding’. As part of a larger public symposium, teams will present their pitches to a panel of reviewers in front of a live audience, followed by a written submission to AHRC and other potentially interested partners.
Successful teams will be provided with details of eligibility for these additional funds before the fellowship begins, but it is expected that all applicants will be interested in this possibility of engaging in longer term collaboration with their team, remotely or otherwise.
