20 April 2012
by Kendall Martin-Robbins
Last night was the launch of the Regent Street Association and the RIBA's 3rd Regent Street Windows Project. The project pairs retailers with architects to push the boundaries of window displays. The theme of the 2012 installations was 'play.' The retailer and architect collaborations include:
Banana Republic with Ushida Findlay Architects and Visitor Studio
TM Lewin and Liddicoat & Goldhill
Moss Bros and Delvendahl Martin Architects
Folli Follie and Studio Egret West
We're very excited to help take the concept to Shanghai with the RIBA as part of our work for UK Now. The project is a means to encourage young people to engage with architecture and fashion, while bringing to life retail spaces and promoting an exploration of spatial issues.
This is outdoor exhibition free and open to any one walking down Regent Street, and will be running 16 April to 6 May.
A one-hour walking tour of the completed installations, led by an RIBA member of staff, will take place on the following days:
- Sunday 22 April, 2pm
- Thursday 26 April, 1pm
- Wednesday 2 May, 6pm
For more information, visit the RIBA's website.
