The British Council's inaugural Sustainable Fashion Forum took place during Jakarta Fashion Week 2015 and returns this year, convening a panel of designers and experts to talk about sustainability in fashion in the contexts of both the UK and Indonesia.

Chaired by Jati Hidayat, Editorial Director of Femina Group the organisers of Jakarta Fashion Week, the discussion will focus on the panel's variety of experiences of sustainability.

Graduate Fashion Week residents Billie Jacobina and Rosella May will share their experiences of collaborating with Indonesian designers Lekat and SOE Jakarta respectively over the past three months. The two sets of designers have been collaborating on capsule collections which will be shown at Jakarta Fashion Week and have had first hand experience of production in Indonesia, having visited and worked with a number of factories.

Tamsin Blanchard, Senior Fashion Features Editor at Tank Magazine and UK designer Richard Malone will share experiences of sustainable practice in the UK. Richard's work has a ethos for directionality and sustainability and has been selected to be presented at Jakarta Fashion Week 2016

The panel is completed by Imanzah Nurhidayat Country Coordinator of Fashion Revolution Indonesia, the organisation formed as a result of the Rana Plaza disaster to question 'Who made my clothes?'.
