Headed by duo Ahmed Sabry and Daki Marouf since 2011, SabryMarouf is a fashion accessory brand that pays homage to its Ancient Egyptian heritage with a contemporary approach. Initially setting up their studio adjacent to Cairo’s historic craft making hub of Khan Khalil, Sabry and Marouf gained hands-on experience in metal and leatherwork by immersing themselves amidst highly skilled local workshops. Known to use traditional techniques as well as emergent technologies seamlessly, their work embodies concepts that are experimental and progressive, inspired by art, philosophy and culture. After completing their MA in Fashion Artefact and Entrepreneurship & Innovation, respectively, at the London College of Fashion, Sabry and Marouf are bringing their signature aesthetic to a collection of luxury clutches and minaudiers for Autumn/Winter 2016.
