D&AD New Blood Awards: British Council brief

D&AD New Blood Awards: British Council brief

25 January 2014
by Kendall Martin-Robbins

This year we're pleased to join D&AD's New Blood Awards with a brief for a graphic identity for our Dressing the Screen exhibition and programme.

The brief is to create a bilingual identity which reflects the high-fashion and moving image nature of the exhibition, through the physical graphics, way-finding, web presence, brochure and print design.

This is an exciting challenge to take the origins, history and pioneering role that British filmmakers and designers have played in the development of the medium to Moscow and beyond.

How to Enter

For the full brief and information on how to register and enter visit the D&AD website.

The deadline to enter and pay is 5pm GMT on Wednesday 19 March 2014
From 19 February you’ll be able to submit your work and pay for your entries online.

What are the New Blood Awards?

Creatives the world over value the D&AD New Blood Awards above any other. Winning truly marks you out as one of the best. Whether you’re a copywriter or photographer, a digital specialist, product designer or something in-between - there’s a category for you.

Entry to the awards is open to:

  • anyone in full or part-time education
  • recent graduates who finished their course within the past two years
  • anyone under the age of 24

The awards offer the chance to address real briefs, set by real clients, judged by top creatives. You can work alone, or as part of a team. Your ideas will be seen and judged by the representatives of the brand, along with a panel of top creatives from around the world.

Each brief comes with its own brief pack, full of useful things like background information and brand logos. Once inspiration hits and you start creating your response, be sure to stick to the deliverables asked for in the brief and the Preparing Your Entries guide.
