'Hot Tools' is the Swiss contribution to International Architecture and Design Showcase 2012, a truly inspiring exhibition of beautiful glass works by the Product Design Master students of ECAL, the University of Art and Design Lausanne.

Artwork displayed in the gallery space is a result of student workshops led by the established French designer Ronan Bouroullec and glassblower Matteo Gonet.

The designers’ brief was to challenge conventions of glass making, and the types of objects that such extraordinary processes could procure. The exhibition features works by graduate designers Rita BotelhoDiane du Chaxel, Sasha Duquesne, Philipp Grundhofer, Felix Klingmuller, Charles Mathis, Giulio Pariniand Jung-Cheng Su.

The display is accompanied by an insightful film from the workshops, presenting extraordinary creation process of the glasswork.
