As part of the Connections through Culture China programme, the British Council is inviting applications for projects that will result in an exhibition, performance or public event.
Connections through Culture China aims to develop institutional links and therefore these grants are targeted at organisations rather than individual designers but collectives may apply.
The grant will enable one member of staff from an organisation to visit counterparts in China for one or more of the following reasons in collaboration with your Chinese partner organisation: face-to-face project development, seeing and evaluating work, and developing staff skills needed to realise your project through shadowing counterparts.
The grant level is up to £1,500 and the deadline for applications is Sunday 9 January 2011 for visits taking place before the end of July 2011. Applicants will be notified by 28 January 2011.
